I really liked his Performances I'm like everyone else. Love the sci fi movie And intriguing to think of that other actor playing that role. If He would have been as good.He was such a great actor . Very memorable role with the invisible man.

What an interesting background there! Quite vintage...nice idea as a surprise change! Michael Rennie was such a 'terribly handsome' man. Everything about his features was perfect, his voice, the delivery of his acting style...so perfect in all his roles.Thank you for giving homage to this wonderful actor, who died so young.

My mom, when she was young girl had a crush on Michael Rennie. The Day the Earth Stood Still is my favorite science fiction movie. I remember his guest appearances on TV shows such as The FBI, Lost in Space, Bonanza, Wagon Train, I Spy, Man from U.N.C.L.E., Sir Alfred Hitchcock Presents etc. He did a TV show titled The Third Man as private eye Harry Lime. Other movies include Hotel, Devil's Brigade, The Robe, Third Man From the Mountain.

The Day the Earth stood still was amazing, loved the soundtrack too.

👽🛸My father had THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL at home. It was a nice b&w movie that captured the hysteria people had from what they don't understand. The final scene had a good message and I liked how THE END came at the screen like the Viacom V-of-Doom logo as the spaceship went the opposite direction. Cigarettes' are to the past what guns are today. They same way guns kill everyone including children, adults, animals (even that cancer Gov shot her dog) etc ... the gun epidemic will destroy our country .. GOOD they deserve it. Cigarettes' where on the same level back then. Do research. My GOD !!!!! how many people died from smoking at such young ages (same as guns) .. Serling was 50 !!! he had 35 more good years left. He also wrote Planet of the apes. Talented man but like guns people couldn't quit. Cigarettes' are the guns of the past. The same way these sick demented maniacs are obsessed with guns people were addicted to cigarettes'. I look at it this way. If you climb a mountain expect to freeze to death. If you own a gun expect to be shot (good) if you smoke expect to DIE of cancer. I have NO sympathy for anyone that doesn't care about their lives. Its the innocents that are victimized for no reason, that's what these people will all go to hell for. All of them.

It was his choice to chain smoke, and he died a multimillionaire. I would say he had a very charmed life.

All those roles and I remember him by far the best for his one appearance on Star Trek. Now that you called out the movies with John Wayne I do recall him but for some reason never associated him as the same actor from Star Trek. Again thanks for your content Steve
